Just to let you know...

We wont be online much for about 2 or 3 weeks. Not until we can get a satillite internet card. My father let us use his RV till we finish the van and there isnt any internet, therefore, we wont be able to make any posts or talk with any of you till then. Some other updates, we went dumpster diving the other day and came out with lots of great wood to finish the van with. Infact, we are fixing to go and get even more wood. All this wood is just about enough to complete our projects. Ohh yes, and one of the biggest things that has happened, and I am so relieved about, is we got Bean back!!! Yeah that was very exciting. Well its time to go..Everyone have a great couple of weeks.

Insurance, playing ball, and a movie

We finally got Insurance and tags on the van. So we went out to our spot again on Big Creek. Before we went out there, we stopped at walmart and got that game that has 2 mitts with the velcro on one side with a ball. We played catch in the water for about 2 hours. It was a blast. I kept laughing my head off as John would jump and dive to catch the ball. The water felt so cool on our skin. The after we left Big Creek, we decided to go watch a movie. Neither of us had watched one at the Cinema in a very long time. Well we decided to watch The Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D. J0hn had never seen the originals but I had. Time Machine and Journey to the Center of the Earth originals had always been some of my favorite movies. To be able to see this new version was great, and to top it all off it was in 3D. We had never seen any movies in 3D. Loads of fun. The best part of that day was when we went to get insurance. Normally the act of getting insurance isnt fun, its a bother, but this day it made our day! It all started off early that morning calling different ins companies. We only got a reply from one so we decided to go to them. They has quoted us a price of almost 1,000 for full coverage for 6 months, which we thought was rediculase, but then when we got there we got a huge suprise. Just want to say thanks to Johns Dad, we found out that John's Dad had John on the insurance, which meant that John got a huge discount for already having insurance. The insurace only cost 423 in the end..What a savings!! We only had to pay 75 to get full coverage!! So exciting!! We had an absolutely wonderful day.

Van Schematics

Well I promised I would put the new schematics up. I am new at schematics drawings. The top schematic is the whole van. The sofa/bed that you see will be a fold out, so we the van will feel more roomy. We will be using memory foam for the mattress, which I will make "pillow-like" coverings for. The agm battery will go in the bottom shelf for easy access. We will also be putting in the shower near the back door. This is also where the toilet will be.

This is the kitchen unit that we will be assembling. I have already priced everything needed. The cost including the lumber, stain, and appliances will be approximately $330. The cabinets that you see above will be alot smaller than it looks here. And to the side there will be floor to ceiling cabinets that will connect with the wall cabinets. We are still debating on putting actual doors on the cabinets. That is still up in the air. We may just use plastic or cardboard boxes to lighten the load. Well this is all for now. I'm not feeling so good today. My stomach is aching. I have so much stuff to do today. I have to clean Kiko's cage, do laundry, clean out the van, and bake a cake. Johns bday was a few days ago, we couldn't afford a cake then so now I am going to bake one today. Oh a movie that we watched last night I wanted to recommend everyone see it. Into the Wild about a man who left everything behind including his family and traveled the united states. Absolutely wonderful film. A must see!!
